Challenge

Sercel aimed to optimize its processes through digitalization and automation of administrative tasks related to document collection from its suppliers worldwide. This collection was previously done via email, which resulted in significant time loss. Moreover, data reliability and tool homogeneity were identified as priority steps to ease document collection automation. This process needed to be completely transparent in SAP ECC6. Subsequently, Sercel wants to identify these third parties’ CSR commitment level through a simple and fast solution while being complementary with market players. The main objective is to minimize supplier solicitation and limit “Supplier Fatigue”

Solution

Sercel, in collaboration with its integrator, has deployed Altares’ SAP connector, Business Add-on, while enhancing Aprovall360’s functionalities. The Aprovall360 TPRM solution integrates naturally with SAP. As a result, the processing rules, fully customized according to countries and internal criteria, optimize the third-party collection and evaluation process, thus offering an efficient and adapted solution to meet the company’s specific requirements and improve supplier relationship management. Sercel relies on Aprovall360’s Environment module to quickly identify third parties’ CSR commitment level, thus having a single solution to address these challenges.

Result

Sercel has saved valuable time in document collection and decarbonization of its suppliers with content fully adapted to third parties’ activities and countries. Requests are automatically initiated from SAP using the Aprovall360 connector and automatically transmitted to third parties. Their responses are processed in real-time, enabling smooth monitoring of regulatory compliance for greater completeness.
