Automating supplier document collection within SAP while assessing ESG engagement worldwide.

As a global designer and manufacturer of high-technology solutions for subsurface exploration, Sercel faced major challenges in managing supplier documentation. Document collection was largely handled via email, resulting in significant time loss, inconsistent data, and limited visibility into regulatory compliance and supplier ESG commitments.

The objectives were to :

• Digitize and automate supplier document collection directly within SAP ECC6
• Assess suppliers’ ESG and decarbonization engagement, while minimizing requests and avoiding supplier fatigue

Implemented solution

Sercel deployed Aprovall360, a Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) solution natively integrated into SAP via Altares’ Business Add-on connector.

This integration enables:

• Automatic document requests triggered directly from SAP
• Fully customized workflows based on countries, supplier profiles, and internal criteria
• Real-time supplier responses, ensuring continuous visibility and control

Sercel also leverages the Aprovall Environment module to quickly assess suppliers’ ESG maturity and decarbonization actions through a centralized dashboard.
