« Back to Glossary Index

The French Duty of Vigilance Law (loi n°2017-399) requires large French companies to establish and implement a vigilance plan covering risks of human rights violations, health, safety and environmental harm in their own operations and those of their subcontractors and suppliers. It applies to companies with over 5,000 employees in France or 10,000 worldwide, and was the forerunner of the EU’s CSDDD.
